Saying NOTHING or not seperating the front molars from the individual you confronted is a lot worse than NOT doing anything at all, or saying NOTHING. Once it's fully understood that you make a good door mat . . . WELCOME!!!!

Tis better to say nothing, and be persevered the fool, than to open your mouth, and remove all doubt!

It depends on so many things. But to watch the love of your life walk away and never having said "I love you", the rest of your life you will be saying "what if"?

Mark Twain said, " It's better to keep your mouth shut and seem stupid, than to open it and remove any doubt"

Saying nothing is worse because you will always wonder what could of been.

You can ALWAYS take your time and really think things through and say something more appropriate later. Once you say something without really thinking about the consequences, you CANNOT EVER take it back or erase it. The tongue is mightier than the sword.
thinking consequences erase tongue mightier sword

Having to move on from something is pretty difficult to do if you're too busy wondering how things might have went had you said what you really wanted. At least if you say something that you wished you hadn't, you can always apologize and work things out from there. Not saying anything just leaves nagging thoughts in the back of your mind.

Once that moment passes, you can never get it back. Better have said it and regret it, then to not say anything at all. passes regret

It's hard to take something back once you've said it out loud:)

one can always give 'advice' but not take it back. I like the old saying...
"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

Once you say something you can't take it back, but after thinking about what you didn't say you still have the option to say it.
