Drug addict (why)

Does it really matter what it is. Both will bring you trouble with the police and have negative effects on your body. Also don't forget that you can be an addict to both the drugs and alcohol.

That's hard as drunks are horrible and cause so many car accidents per day and abuse and kill ppl..but some drugs such as crack and any kind of speed, makes ppl crazy and violent. Some ppl of course partake of both drugs and alcohol. I prefer not to be around either. Alcohol is cheaper and readily available so there are many more drunks.

It depends, a drug addict can have only a certain amount, but enough alcohol and you're gone. However, enough of one drug will send you off, especially heroin. It's a drug that wires you OUT OF YOUR MIND, where as alcohol is a depressant. Both substances are extremely dangerous and a waste of time, and should only be used for medical purposes.

They are both bad! I said Drunks because Alcoholics go from early stage to middle stage and can take many years to deteriorate to the late stage. Drug addicts deteriorate rapidly!
The effects on Family,friends and the work place can be debilitating.

Alcohol is legal, and millions of people use alchohol with no problem. There are a minority of drinkers who abuse alcohol and become addicted to it. The French drink various wines with their meals and are thinner and have less heart disease than the average fatso American. It's called 'the French Paradox'.

It's a paradox to the American nutrionists and food companies because Americans are so much more obese and sluggish than the French.

Well, I've seen both, and I've had someone close overdose, and he didn't mean to do it. Drugs kill. Alcohol kills but slower. Most people pass out before they kill themselves with alcohol.

Both. Drugs or alcohol mess your mind up. It's no easy to live with a person who has not self control.
It's a disease, I know, but when the guy has elective mind, she/he can try heavily to overcome the addiction.

They are equally as bad, more often than not a junkie is an alcoholic as well. Coke and crack heads also drink up and down they go. Smoke, pop pills, drink, snort, main line, speed ball, drink, all will kill you and destroy those who love you take your pick.

What is the difference between a drunk and an alcoholic?
A drunk does not have to go to those stupid meetings!

Unfortunately, all of them are all able to...
An alcoholic, from my own family, stole a few jewels into my house, to sell them and drink a little more. Sometimes me and my kids were under threat of physical violence. Drug is drug, legal or not.
