I know nothing of the "House of Torment" but the Lake of Fire is way spookier than anything that America can offer.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Outside of that, I think the White House is spookier than anything on the list.

Wow. Some serious cheating going on here. The Nest has 75,000+ votes, but the map doesnt show where 3/4 of them have come from? And House of Torment? 30,000 votes coming out of Texas, in how many days? Yea, come on SodaHead and ABC, lets at least make it seem like this is a somewhat fair vote.

I guess to be the spookiest place in America all you really have to really do is "Vote Early...and well, clear your cookies, hit repeat, make a vote flooder, and then just vote very very often."

I only picked a choice randomly because mine wasn't an option. I think The Bell Witch story is the spookiest thing I've heard about that could be close to true. Happened in Adams Tennessee, here's the story. http://www.bellwitch.org/

75,280 votes for The Nest Haunted House in Chandler, AZ? Oh no, wait, 75,361 since apparently the entire population of Chandler is voting faster than I can type. I call shenanigans! Srsly, ABC -- That's a bummer that a fun contest that excited a lot of Halloween fans turned into an apparent cheating blitz. Did you not disable voting by robots? This contest is totally bogus.

The exorcist stairs in Georgetown in Washington, DC is pretty spooky. The CIA headquarters has a lot of spooks too. I saw some real ghosts in a B&B; near the Catfish Plantation restaurant in Waxahachie, Tx.

House of Torment Haunted House, Austin TX was dubbed by the Wall Street Journal "20,000 square feet of terror." The Travel channel called it "One of America's scariest haunted houses." These are tourist attractions meant to frighten. Are there really factual haunted places in the United States.? Most profit off age old rumors of ghosts to attract tourists, making a fortune off scaring people, or making people believe real happenings took place. Gettysburg PA is very eerie. When I looked upon the battle field, shivers went through me. My X husband's mother claimed to see a battle come to life while looking at the battlefield.

My choice, excluding politics, is Gettysburg, PA. Especially around Devil's Den and Slaughter Pit.

Just guessing that they don't want to add politics as we have.

I've got to admit that there are some polls I have visited that politics could fit in, but it wasn't in the nature of the poll so I just went to another page.
