It is tough on you when you have to use that knee. I love gardening and sometime it is very hard to do. I started taking omega 3 with some joint stuff and that has helped. It took it awhile, but slowly it did help. I am now just taking the omega 3. If I get down on my knees for long periods of time on the damp ground it comes back.
It absolutely depends on the type of vehicle. In a luxury sedan, I want to kick back on auto and put it in cruise control. In a performance sports car, I want to push in the clutch and step on the gas at just the right time. In an SUV, standard shift gives you more control. In an 18 wheeler, screw all of that shifting and give me auto. See what I mean?
I saw a Porsche 911 with an automatic gearbox and thought what's the point spending all that money on a nice car and then taking all the fun out of driving it!
You're gonna have to drive one someday anyone, so you might as well learn & get it over with. So when that time comes, it's like a walk in the park instead of rocks in the park lol, sorry that's the best I got. But for your question, I much prefer a manual, even though I never drive one.
My every day car, that I drive back and forth to work in the rush hour traffic jams is an Automatic.
My "FUN" car is a 6 speed, built to "GO"! and I take it out when I want to have some FUN driving.
So I do both!
PS: I also have 2 motorcycles, One BIG, and One SMALL, and BOTH are 6 Speeds.
