White is always nice; but as long as you're painting, a change might be fun. Light yellow is sunny and cheerful.

Our house is Gray.

But out of the 2 I'd go with the white. But it looks a lot like a converted church.

They're both good choices, but I like the classic look of white better than yellow. I also like some yellows better than others. For example, I like the look of a pale yellow house with white trim, but bright yellow is a little too much for me, and using something besides white for trim is a no no IMO. With white, the trim color is the big choice. I like either blue or dark brown or white, but I've also seen green trim look good. It's a fun decision to make, I hope you enjoy the process and the result.

Your decision is ultimatly your own and all I can do is offer my advice.
My entire working life (35 years) was spent as a Professional decorator...If you decide on yellow you may have trouble with coverage, yellow will ultimately need more coats of paint...thereby leading to more expense.

I have no idea of costing in the US.? I'm 'down under'...
.. most painting contractors offer free quotes...at least here they do.!

You can get 3 or 4 quotes and decide which you want...it also gives you an idea of who you will be dealing with and which are genuine.

I like houses that have a little color. Nothing too flashy, but yellow is good. I also like the new bluish gray color they have. My friend just did her house like that and I find it cozy.

Glow in the dark colors. There are companies now that clam their paint's glow lasts for hours.
Various colors. Only about $65 per 16 ounces. Could get a little pricey.
And you know your neighbors would just love it.

I've painted homes,installed siding,roofs etc...Color and especially the TRIM details make all the difference.I did Green Acres Urban Renewal in Jersey City and saw transformations that siding,painting and trimming accomplished making 19th century homes look new again.
