What can we say? We're gaga over groceries! While we shop for our favorite snacks at the store, we often wonder if our grocery store etiquette is the same as others. Do most people sneak in samples at the candy bins while deciding whether or not they're going to buy the goods? What do you do when the cashier gives you too much change? And is it normal to go grocery shopping three times a week? We're finally going to find out.

Take our 8-question "Gaga Over Groceries" survey to have your vote count in the stats -- and have fun shopping!

I travel pretty far to shop at WholeFoods. There is nothing decent near me, either. B(
It is worth the trip, though, it is such a great supermarket!

Currently Safeway. At my previous apartment, Albertsons. I don't have a car, so I walk to the store. Not a whole lot of choices.

When we don't go here, we go to Albertson's for small items. Rarely do we EVER go to Walmart for anything because of the crowds and the sheer size of the store (being a working family, no one likes to drive over there and walk for 45 minutes after a long day of work).

4 out of 5 times I go to Whole Foods. The other time I go to normal grocery store (Albertsons). And I supplement with farmer's market when I have time.

For years I shopped at Giant, until they discontinued 93% lean ground beef. The meat cutter at my local Giant had the temerity to tell me that since Giant was discontinuing 93%, so would everyone else. I found, however, that Shoppers not only carries 93% lean ground beef, but charges 60% less. That's right, Shoppers charges LESS THAN HALF of what Giant charges. I do most of my shopping at Shoppers now.

There are so many farmer's markets around where I live; it's so nice to buy fresh produce. With the exception of meats (because they only really have fish at the ones I frequent), most of my shopping is done at the markets. I like the atmosphere, the people...it's nice knowing I'm supporting local farms. Some things are a little more expensive, but I'm only buying for two and I know how to store food so that way it lasts to keep my costs down.
