I pretty much just take some cloths and money lol - I like to have the freedom to move from one place to another in a moment's notice if I decide too. Half the fun of travelling is being able to be spontaneous.
I pack light, and come home heavy with all the extra stuff I buy while I'm there, especially if I'm travelling somewhere where consumer goods are cheaper than England (which is just about everywhere)
Depends where I'm going. If it's a road trip, I tend to take more
because I can jam alot in the trunk and backseat. If it's a plane, I
take less and ttry to pack more efficiently.
It depends where I'm going. When I go to Florida to visit family, I usually pack very lightly. But, when I went to Vegas, I had to pay $$ because my ginormous suitcase was too heavy...
In Vegas, you never know where you're gonna end up, so you need clothes and shoes to go to clubs, and just hang around clothes and clothes to go see the dam and the Canyon.... I changed like 3 times a day when I was there.
It really depends upon where we are going and for how long. I like to think that we pack according to need which would put us more towards the answer 2 pack lightly but if you are going to be gone for 2 weeks LIGHT is truly relative
I pack what I feel will keep me happy and occupied while im traveling..
I don't over pack.. or pack lightly.. or not pack enough..
I pack anything I want to pack basically..
I hate when you have to pack a set amount of whatever..
I pack lightly, however, my wife throws everything into the suitcase and still has small bags of other items that go as well. Now, when we travel by air, I get to have her cut back on the amount whe takes. Then her one suitcase has to have a weight lifter pick it up.
I think, generally, women take more than men. It's just in our genes! I was a boy scout leader and learned to be prepared at all times, so I take more than usual. I have a list on my computer and I add/remove depending what kind of trip I'm taking.
Dont fly that much but when I do I take as little as possible . Im afraid to put my whole life in a suitcase, the way they're losing luggage these days.
Pretty much right on target. So much easier to travel now that you don't have to "dress for dinner". And years ago, I would bring a travel IRON with me. Who was that crazy woman???
And go shopping if I have forgotten something. If I happen to get a souvenir, I will pack it up and send it home via the post office, saves time at the airport--sometimes my mom sends her luggage via ups to my brothers, so everything is already there for her, she's getting to the point of not taking that much anymore as this gives her a good excuse to go shopping and getting new things--can you tell I come from a family of shoppers?
I usually travel with only what I need, not with what I think I might need. If I find I doneed something more, I can buy it when I get where I am going as easily as I could have bought it at home. Less trouble at the check ins and baggage terminals. Save time for every traveler behind me in line.
I pack very lightly. My wife packs everything but the kitchen sink (she does not like doing dishes on vacation or trips!)
The real kicker is the amount of prescription medication we both pack. I'm always afraid of being stopped at some inspection point and a drug dog alerting on our "medicine" bag ;-)
That's "one" of the reasons I pack so much. I take a LOT of medication and I have sleep apnea so I have to take my cpap machine. I always bring my laptop and at least 3 cameras. I'm on vacation right now and I HAVE NEVER had so many things disrupted in my luggage before!!! I always put everything in a zip-lock bag, ie. shampoo, toothpaste, powder, etc. There were actually holes in my zip-lock bags! My powder broke and powder was all over everything! That's the first time anything like happened. I flew on USA 3000 from a smaller airport but flew in to St. Louis International. Anyway, it was a mess. I have so many "personal" things I have to take. Ear plugs, back scratcher, always bring pictures to share. Lots to bring. I don't know how people can get on a plane for a long trip with a small suitcase. That will not happen to me in my lifetime!
i have never traveled believe it or not. been in Cali for 39 years, can't wait for my kids to get a little bit older, i'd love to see the country sometime.

You never know if you find clean dishes there ...
Great question!
