When you Go Food shopping do you buy Brand name or generic Store Brand?

Meijer has a awesome organic line of food.

I have a few products that I just have to have name brand, but otherwise, I go generic.

I also am a label reader when it comes to what I ingest if there are to many man made chemicals I go without

I only buy a few brand name items, like Ketchup, Mayo, and Mac and Cheese. The store brands just don't cut it with some products.

I buy both depending on what the product is.If I buy my favorite soda I will buy Dr.Pepper not the store brand because it is flat.Other then that I will probably buy store brand.Love Aldi's stuff.

I am broke, and store brand is usually cheaper...

Certain things I buy brand name because of trial and error, but others.... whatever is cheaper

Some generic just don't cut it. I'm also inclined to change my loyalty as my choices are dropped as an option in the market.

I do buy asda (uk walmart stores) own brand and their smartprice super economy brand on several items...HOWEVER...I only ever buy more expensive brand names in some items..including coffee...teabags and bread...cheap versions are just not good...

Depends on the product. If I buy mayo, it's always Hellman's. If I buy crackers, I never buy the store brand -- they taste extra salty to me. There's others too, but it's trial and error.

It depends on the item, but I'll go for store brand most of the time. Have to have my Charmin, though. Store brand butt wipe just won't do.

I buy mostly generic. HEB in Texas is great and there store brand products are just as good as name brand. I hate coupons and usually, you have to buy 2 of something to be able to use the coupon and I dont feel like messing with them.

Whatever is cheapest at the time i'm shopping.

I stick to few brand for things like coffee and a good cheese. The rest I get a mix of big names and Aldi brands. That's a German supermarket that has Euro versions of the regular ones.
Some people call it chavvy, but it is good value and they do have some nice stuff, the beer and wines are very good :-)

Both. Some things are better branded, some things it doesn't matter.

When it comes to certain items I am not willing to sacrifice quality for price, much to the disappointment of my BUDGET! With most items, however, it makes no difference, so I will buy store or generic.

I try to buy from local harvest and local farmers. I only want organic fruits and vegetables and local grass fed meat, like I ate when I was a kid and was raised on the farm. I say beware anything that comes in a bag and in the center isles of the store. Don't drink soda, it's the fizz that is not good for you, nor the HIgh Fructose Corn Syrup. You are what you eat. And I believe High Fructose Corn Syrup is designed to be addictive so your appetite is never satisfied. "They" the greedy corporate heads, want you hooked on their manufactured so called poor excuses for food, that comes GMO, filled with herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers that messed up the soil and worm back away from it.. what does that tell you. Note: Above is merely my own take on stuff.. and geez what do I know. I claim ignorance.

I keep to a budget first of all, so whatever is on sale, I buy.

I buy a mix of the two. Sometimes, generic products are every bit as good as their name-brand alternative. Sometimes, they're absolutely inedible.

I find store brands just as good as brand goods and actually most times better.

it really depends on the item. The store brand Cheese is just not good for example.

We actually do very little shopping for anything other than our meats. We grow most of our own.

I buy what is most affordable. Dont be so damn uptight. You need to eat. Not be fancy.
