When you cook or bake, do you follow recipes exactly, make alterations, or make your own recipes?

The most cooking i do is putting the mac and cheese bowl in the microwave...or reheating leftover pizza

I read the basic suggestions but cook or bake following my guts.

Sometimes the results are interesting. :-D

In all honesty, the first time I prepare something, I do so as the recipe calls for. If it isn't what I expected, I make changes the next time. If during prep I feel it needs something else, I will alter it.

I usually modify. Like using whole wheat flour instead of white, because it's healthier.

When I cook I'll add and subtract but not when baking. Not much of a baker so if I'm going to spend the time trying to bake something I want it to turn out right.

Um it's not that I think I am a pro at baking. I am usually trying my best trying to get the recipe almost exact as the you know recipe, haha, but it usually never comes out that way. Lol.

I really don't like to bake or even cook for that matter so I tend to follow the recipe.

When cooking I rarely use a recipe and if I do I invariably end up altering it somewhat. Baking, except for fillings, toppings and such is a different story. I'm not into baking enough to do that as some of those ingredients need to be pretty precise. Generally, the only time I measure is when baking.
