When the NATO Small Arms Treaty passes the Senate and the 'gun grabbing' begins, will this start a civil war?

I see the gulf between the Right Wing and reality continues to widen. The Small Arms Treaty does NOT affect the rights of ANY gun owner ANYWHERE in the United States. If you have a stockpile of UZIs in your basement just in case another Batman movie comes out (and you obtained them legally) the Small Arms Treaty does not in any way empower ANYONE to take them away from you. The ONLY thing the treaty would change is that the international trade in a very narrow range of weapons would be restricted. Your right to keep and bear arms will not be affected one iota.

What you responsible gun owners are too oblivious to realize is that groups like the NRA are using the "They're taking away our Second Amendment rights" nonsense to fearmonger you into blocking a treaty that will save thousands of lives across the globe for the sole reason that most of the weapons that would be affected are manufactured in the United States, and the manufacturers pay the NRA big dollars to con you into helping them profit from human tragedy.

The Small Arms Treaty will have absolutely no effect on American's right to own arms.

They have no interest in reality. The only reason the NRA is trying to scare them into opposing this treaty is that it would restrict international trade in a small category of weapons, most of which are primarily or exclusively manufactured in the United States. Rather than even try to stem the flow of blood across the globe the NRA is only interested in protecting the profit margins of their biggest donors.

(I can't wait to hear one of them argue that if they can only choose from 9,999 different kinds of guns instead of 10,000 that's a vicious assault on their Second Amendment rights LOL)

Why should any of the gun manufactures have to stop trading of any guns any where because of a treaty. If there is a problem with our guns in other country's that is there responsibility to address that thru their laws, if another country says we do not want your guns in our country well that is their decision to make.

It very well could start a war here. There are many who will not give up their guns, I'm one of them.
