I have a lot of friends and they come and go which is cool. I only have two really close friends and they are like brothers to me. So when someone accepts me as a real friend I feel lucky.

I missed the point of the question with my first answer. I thought you were talking about friends that you hang out with.

I usually don't request anyone to be my friend. I did once and she accepted and that was cool but it wouldn't have mattered if she hadn't. I accept every friend request I get. It's no big deal. It's all just for fun.

I have no friends on SH. People ask but I don't have time for that part of SH. Great for those that do, you do well with it. But for me it's all about the discussion. But I'm starting to tire of it.

I was solicited to be friends, I never asked to be one. I raved friends and strangers equally, if I agreed with or enjoyed their posts. Right now, I only have a total of 53 friends and am very choosy. Before friending anybody, I read their profiles, followed their posts for weeks or months and tried to discern some psychological/political/ideol... backgrounds before deciding. I know, I know, I am a bit of a nice pain (like a good massage) but I don't want to have regrets later on and I want our friendship to be mutually enjoyable. So far so good.

Thank them, Greet them and Watch Out for them while I'm On-site. Stop by on occasions and say Hey' and sometimes even drop in a little gift if I see that their light is on. Lol

I've never sent a friend request, but after I accept the ones sent to me, I go to their profile and rave all their media.
