But your emails should be nice as you have always been polite as far as I know. Why should anyone send you nasty emails? Your questions are generally very mellow and not something to get all worked up about. (I know there are exceptions but on the whole you ask very mellow questions)
Because I'll tell him right there and then (if it does in fact exist) that I lived my life according to my own beliefs without his help, I did what I could to help those around me. I was no saint (something I'm actually proud of given biblical accounts) but I was also no sheep either. If I am to be cast to hell for such reasons, then good riddance, I'll take my chances in hell.
I refuse to be bound by structures created by man to control other men for no other reason than to observe false power. Yet I am happy to observe laws that seek to help the earth and the human race flourish. (Which is why I don't like current patent laws but that's another topic I guess).
There are really only two choices.
1. Burn in Hell
2. Kiss the ass of yahweh.
Guess which one I prefer. At least I'm honest about it, don't go around trying to control people, in fact I'm a teacher, I don't go round saying "you can't do this you can't do that... why? because a book says so." and I have the moral decency to be able to tell right from wrong without a 2500 year old book.
I'm sorry your outlook on life is so bleak. If you look at a Crucifix and see Someone who wants you to "kiss His ass", I'd suggest you missed the point. The Crucifix symbolizes the greatest Love Story in history between God and mankind. It wasn't "let Me do this for you so I can keep My thumb on you for eternity"...it was " you have no idea what misery the Evil One is preparing for you...the evil you see in this world is just a faint reflection of the anguish and suffering Satan plans for you...and you don't have the power to pay the price for man's rejection of my Father. I know. I'll pay the price for you because I want you to experience the joys of Heaven that you can't even begin to imagine....because all I want is your eternal happiness".
He loves you whether you love Him or not...He loves us enough to invite us to follow him, but loves us too much to drag us behind him.......good luck
Rofl... greatest love story? You mean the greatest joke? Surely. What parent do you know what would send their child off to be crucified? God has shown...*flicks through the bible* time and time again that he holds nothing but contempt, hatred and a strong disposition of jealousy, greed and wrath to human kind for any reason... such as 'Catching an arc to stop it from falling', 'not worshipping god', 'worshipping god', 'worshipping ANYTHING other than god', 'not committing incest' (In fact he rewards those who commit incest.... >.>)
As far as I see it, Lucifer tried to over throw god. Why? Because he thought he could. Which means "Lucifer seeks to better himself, he is ambitious and creative"... << that's someone who I'd rather serve than someone who states, "I am the lord thy god. Thou shalt hath no other god before me." (Isaiah) God rules by fear, lies and wrath. He always has done (if by the way, he exists).
... now...having re-read parts of the bible and I am doing some research. Could you indicate where it says Satan is evil? Or Lucifer is evil and why they are so? >.> Can't seem to find a damn passage anywhere.
I doubt if this matters now...it sounds like you've closed your mind for the time being....but if you are serious, this may help.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Hebrews 2:14
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Revelation 20:10
And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Ephesians 6:11-12
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Jude 1:13

Jude 1:13
Wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
James 2:19
You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!
Matthew 25:41
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
2 Peter 2:1
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
John 8:44 that's rich coming from a follower of something that has killed almost in one sitting more than Satan XD
Note, I am actually quite open minded, part of the reason why I came to the conclusion that god is actually the bad guy in all of this...*shrugs*.
20:10 Gog and Magog...sound like they weren't actually deceived but made up their own minds... (why does this sound lord of the rings ish? I mean come on Great White Throne? What is this Minas Tirith?...anyway...). I'll keep looking back a few passages on this one to check for any deception.
...god making more claims without backing them up with evidence...
John 10:10.... O.o so really, he's a thief he just doesn't want to consider himself as such. I see I see. (Side note: No satan?)
James 2:19 ... yet we don't see demons doing evil...o.O I find this really odd.
Matthew... I really don't get this sentence, it's also been mistranslated but it really makes no sense. Just because they're on his left he casts them out? Wow, way to be discriminating.
Peter. Point taken, but blind acceptance is pretty foolish and how are we to know who are false or not except from using our Critical thought, seeing and knowing with our own hands and eyes? o.O
First off, God doesn't HAVE to back up his claims with evidence, but He does.
In fact if he provided any more evidence, (like His face painted across the entire sky, or millions of angels flying around, etc...) you wouldn't have free will anymore and that is one of the things he created us in His image and likeness.
John 10:10 Jesus is talking about Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Devil, Deciever, Destroyer... Let's not be cute about this, if you don't believe in the bible, don't read it, but let's not pretend it says anything flattering about Satan.
As for Peter, Jesus established his Church so that the faithful would not be decieved. It is a miracle that the Church has survived for 2000 years. And Jesus said: "ask, it shall be given to you...seek, and you will find....knock, and the door will be opened to you, for ALL who ask, recieve, and ALL who seek shall find, and ALL who knock, the door shall be opened to you"
Firstly, I applaud your striving to live a life or morals without the framework of eternal reward/ eternal loss. Second, faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit, given at different times to different individuals, but the above passage assures us that ANYONE who seeks the truth will find it and be granted the gift of faith. Third, I appreciate how difficult it can be for ...

For those with faith, no proof is necessary, For those without faith, no proof will suffice.
Okay, I'm not trying to debate whether god exists or not, he doesn't, what I am trying to debate is the morality of Satan and how I find lots of mean things said 'about' him but I can't find any stories of him doing something worse than god. So I would counter with, "Lets not be cute about this but lets not pretend it says anything flattering about God." (It does, but my point is less about the flattering and more about the evidence weighed against him).
As for his face painted across the sky...why wouldn't I have free will? In fact, that might actually convince me there's a god...provided I get to run a few tests =P. I'll take Jesus' words. I do not seek God, I seek knowledge of the world around me and allegedly god is apart of that world. It is my job to prove one way or the other of his existence at moment I have no evidence.
Okay, if you're not prepared to believe the Miracle of Life... how do you explain God? And if you can't give me an answer, why is it any different from the answer we of the scientific community have given you? God is no more unexplainable than the universe itself. Except we know at one point, there was no universe, but there's never been proof of any other supernatural existence o.o
What makes you think there are only two choices? Even the Catholic religion recognizes purgatory which seems to be a temporary hell. But the fact is no one knows what is going to happen. Reincarnation might be the case. Or your body will just be recycled into other bodies. There are more than just two choices.
Uh... Christian belief is that you go before god...get judged...and so on. As for no knowing what will happen... well I can say one thing for definite.
Reincarnation is not just a possibility it's a certainty. Maybe not with all the same constituent parts and certainly not with the same memories but it is certain the same parts will be used over and over. There's only a limited about of matter on this earth and it all gets recycled continuously. =3 (This is why I would prefer to be cremated and scattered over a field =D
