When does the age gap between a husband and wife become gross?

thinkin more like 15-20 yrs ..i just think if you are physically of age that you could be that persons parent, its kinda weird..

Think of it this way, you have a kid when you're 17...then 40 yrs later you date a 38 yr old...is that really weird?

I don't know....maybe after 10-15 years it seems a little weird to me. I think a 30 year old going out with an 18 year old is pretty odd....they shouldn't really have anything in common. Same with a 50 year old going out with a 35 year old. They are in different stages of their lives.

chronologically maybe, but there's truth to an old saying, you're as young as you feel. And some 35 yr olds are more mature than some 50 yr olds.

That's very true....one of my friends, who is 36 is not as mature as some 24 year olds I know.

If a 20-year-old woman marries a rich 80-year-old guy, that's gross -- but not because of the age difference. It's gross because she's a raging gold-digger. That's what would be gross about it.

It's a 14-year diff between my husband and me. He's 48; I'm 34.

Compatibility depends more on maturity level than age. But in my opinion, once the age gap is such that people think you're parent/child rather than husband/wife, things get a little strange.

well, sooner or later you get there since our looks give it away first, but you're right about maturity levels being more important. It's not what most people think,that you're just after young tail...because you are going against the grain, and you have to be able to take some stares and some abuse if you take this out to the limits...btw, my wife is 25 yrs younger than I am and we are not a typical couple, but it's working for us.

You can't really put a number on that, it depends on the age they started dating and the situation. A fifteen-year-old girl dating a twenty-five-year-old man can be pretty weird, but 25 and 35 isn't strange at all. If said fifteen-year-old girl is mature and sensible enough to wait with anything inappropriate until she's eighteen, it could go well and not be 'gross'.
