When do you know when and when not to put your foot down with your significant other?

meg 2012/09/16 03:47:00
I can imagine everyone in a relationship has things that bother them about their significant other, my question to you is when do you set ultimatums or put your foot down, what things are too much for you?
You!

You have to choose your wars, there will always be something about your SO that is going to piss you off and you have to choose which are the most important to you.

You can only comprimise so much, Sometimes you just have to stand your ground,
    And I don't do ultimatums.

Put your foot down when she's bein' a bitch. Simple. She can play that game with someone else for all I care.

Could you be realistic and answer the question seriously, if it isn't too much of a bother?

Join the service, get out, be homeless twice and be on the verge of being homeless again.. and then tell me how much you like people, mmkay? :)

Wouldn't join the service in the first place unless I knew exactly what I was supporting.

Seriously dude? It isn't enough that you take a jab at our four year age differences (hardly anything at all) but you also have to poke at my weight? Are you really that sensitive about your poor choice to join the service? That isn't my fault, I didn't even insult you about it I just said that it isn't something I would do, meaning I have strong opinions and wouldn't want to be forced to go against them. I'd love to tell you you are just as ugly as your personality, but you're not that unattractive. Even though actions speak louder than words; words speak louder than physical appearance.

If that happened to me, I would be on my nearest Veterans Office doorstep with all my belongings. It's not OUR fault, it's THEIR fault. I know for a fact that they will do everything possible to help you get a job and a place to live.

Yeah... misogyny always helps relationships a bunch. There's no wonder she's pissed at you.

I think it would be a sign of a relationship problem. My wife and I talk, discuss, make good sound arguments. We don't use ultimatums.

It is always situational. We don't battle too much though our communication helps us to avoid fallout!!

May I have a couple scenarios, if it isn't too personal or too much of a bother?
