I agree, GW was such a disaster and his numbers prove it. Unfortunately the country was in decline at least since Reagan.

I have been finding this more and more to be the case, and it is pissing me off daily. Stupid is acceptable, ignorant is fine, and no one wants to be smarter. They all want to be reality show stars.

Eliminating the fairness docrtine did not help.
Previously all stations that used airwaves had to carry news. Now they do not have to.
And when someone said something incorrect they had to allow time for someone else to refute the incorrect statement.

Those that fought to repeal the doctrine did so with the goal of propaganda and brainwashing in mind.
  • Willy morris44 2012/07/23 21:31:12

If the so called fairness doctrine was still in effect, PRAVDA, (abcnbccbscnnmsnbcpbs) wouldn't have enough time to give someone else to refute the incorrect statement.

I cannot understand what you are trying to say. Seems that on the one hand you feel some media are lying yet on the other hand you seem to not want any recourse for said lying.

Sure I do but the liberals think they want it back, but they would be crying the loudest if it was brought back, because left leaning PRAVDA, abc, nbc, cbs, cnn, msnbc and pbs tell nothing but lies and the equal time rule would take more time than they have.

Throughout human history, as good as everybody had and is having a point of view, whatever the degree of knowledge or culture. Ignorant people might also have brilliant ideas, sometimes even better than highly intelligent folks. After all, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while!

There has always been prejudice going back to ancient tribes. Prejudice is always based on ignorance with maybe a little arrogance thrown in the mix as well.

I am getting older and more tired of the massive amount of hate and prejudice that seems to dictate the course of world events.

I don't know if that is the type of ignorance you were asking about.
If you were referring to plain old fashioned stupidity, there is no shortage of that either.

Most of all an ignorant person just for certain point of views; don’t know and acting like knows, that his any ignorant, like Bush by doing what he never had any experience. But the style of life; some think do not have to know, but when that person face a problem, do acting like know everything. I call that person not just ignorant also stupid, because nobody knows everything and some of them, do acting know them all.

Ignorance is not an excuse. Is it laziness? A willingness to accept Faux News as gospel? Or do people not know how to get the back stories? There are some political parties that want low information voters so that they will be easier to control. Why else would they want to cut education? We may want to rethink the importance of education in this country because right now it is not a priority.

And liberals say the same thing about conservatives. Where does any of this get us? There is ignorance and brilliance on both sides. What is best for the country does not always come from one side or the other. In fact I am not very happy with either side. Maybe we should just through them all out and take back our country.
