When Are Women Too Old for Bikinis?

Looking forward to wearing a bikini over Memorial Day weekend? You might want to reconsider -- if you're over 47.

According to a new study, women 18-65 believe miniskirts are also a don't once you hit 35, and high heels should not be worn by anyone over 51, The Daily Mail reports.

The verdict on bikinis came in spite of the famous shot of actress Helen Mirren rocking a red bikini in her 60s.

The women in the study also put the below age limits on the following articles of clothing and accessories:

Tube Top, 33
Leather pants, 34
Belly button piercing, 35
See-through chiffon blouse, 40
Sneakers, 44
Tight vest, 44
Leggings, 45
Ugg boots, 45
Knee-high boots, 47
Stilettos, 51
Ponytail, 51
Long hair, 53
Swimsuit, 61

Frankly, we think women should ditch tube tops long before 33. But we'll be wearing sneakers long after 44, and high heels are for life!

    Some of us were made for a bakini and some of us weren't. I'm too modest to flaunt my goods but i wear a bakini under my oversized t-shirt lol

    I meant to say, "never." It's a matter of the individual body, irrespective of age. Some girls will never look good in bikinis even at a younger age, and some women will look fine in bikinis in their older years. This is because bikinis are best fit to the shapes of certain types of (usually curvy and classic) figures, and if one does not have those curves, for reaons either of being underweight or overweight, let's face it -- those types of female figures do not bring out the best in a bikini. Bikinis look best when bundled around nice boobs, nice butts, revealing tight tummies and deeply carved cleavages, tender thighs, long legs, and so forth. The bikini is designed for curves.

    It isn't age that determines when a woman is too old for anything, it's attitude! If a gal is in good shape and happy with who she is, then I say let her wear anything she likes. I never thought I still have long hair at my age and yet I still do because it looks good and I like it. If if feels right, then just do it!!!!!!!!!!

    I've seen people who shouldn't be allowed on the beach,let alone wearing a bikini.Here's a tip,if it's a sunny day and people begin to huddle around you for shade,don't wear a bikini. Also,if you're so old the bra has to be wrapped around your waist,clear the area immediaitely.That goes for you nasty guys who wear speedos too. For God's sake, get a pool of your own!

    When i was a young man, i would have answered differently.
    As an older man, i can appreciate the beauty of older women. If she's comfortable enough with who she is and what she looks like, and wants to wear whatever or less, i will smile and tip my hat to that lady.

    Show what you got. You know some older people are in the greatest of shape, so I don't restrict nothing to a certain age cause that is so discriminating. Plus that is their body and they have the right to wear, say and do as they please.

    Men can go to the beach without a shirt beer bellies flapping in the wind and they don't care. So I'm going to take my 5'6" 115lb self out on the beach in a bikini(not a tiny one) and if they don't like the way I look they can look at the fat men.
