What's your view on interacial relationships?

As for the kids since it is , to what I understand, what you're focusing on. It shouldn't matter if they fit in either race. They're feelings are hurt, too bad. How do you think I feel? I am of white, black, asian, Irish, etc...I don't fit in anywhere except where I want to fit. I am my own person. My boyfriend who is both black and white fits in both. He makes the best of it and him and his sister do not fill ill-will about their parents decision to reproduce them. They are still human, they still have friends, and they live their lives. Those children on Oprah were probably paid to say they feel like crap. My next door neighbor is also black and white, she too doesn't feel like she is not part of either race. She is who she is, she doesn't care and her friends and family don't either. Children of interracial marriages and reproducing should not feel left out, they are human, of their own race (no single person is actually 100% anything when it comes down to DNA). I suppose all I'm saying is, I don't think you should rely on a show that only focused on the bad. There's always bad, and interracial marriages aren't always bad. There are disagreements, but so long as the couple are happily in love and the children are who they are, it shouldn't matter. The children on that show, if they were not paid, are probably either trying to get sad attention from others or they don't know how to be themselves. I'm white..like paper might I add, lol, and I fit in with Asians, Blacks, White's, and even Mexicans. You should fit in the way you want to, not the way your race perceives you.

Pretty little Shonny made the comment to me that black women like to hear they're pretty too; I'll tell you what, I think African women are the most amazingly beautiful women, inside and out, on the face of the Earth! Seriously, I used to think it was just a powerful sexual attraction on my part, and I must admit, that is overpowering; but over the years I am conviced it is so much more than that!

I don't know why, exactly; maybe it's centuries of being so unappreciated and treated as second class, I wouldn't presume to know. Maybe it's just something in me that doesn't want to settle for second-best. But in my opinion, a man who is any kind of man at all simply cannot do any better than a black wife & mother of his children. There are none better, anywhere.

I don't mean any disrespect to other women, that's just me - I had a white mother and I have three white sisters, and any other women of any other stripe - Asian, Latina, whatever - have their charms, surely, just not for me.

And no matter what Kalynn says, no disrespect to her but she is SOOO wrong!

I cannot wait to have beautiful, golden caramel babies with a good-hearted, full-bodied young black wife, and I would love them every bit as much as any white father loved his white kids, ever. So what if they are darker than me? They'd still be mine, and I know they'd still look like me! Besides, Barack Obama is a product of such a union, and he seems so far to have done alright, doncha THINK?

Anyway, I'm 56, pretty old, hahaha, but I'm as healthy as ever I was, and if I can find some round-bottomed, sable young lass who has a yen for white guys and a preference for graybeards, I'm goin' for it now! My folks, God bless 'em, are passed on now, and I forgive them (mostly my mom, Dad woulda come around sooner or later, if not for her) for what they forbade. But it was still wrong.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, should hold hostage their children's hopes, dreams, and desires to their own silly, stupid racial prejudices! It is not right, and I can't help but wonder how many other decent, open-minded white men and women are out there, denying themselves the happiness of their hearts (and their loins, for that matter!), simply to keep the peace in their family.

It isn't right, and I for one would LOVE to see more mixed race couples - WM&BW, BM&WW, whites & Asians, Asians & Latinos, everything, it would just be a btter world.

Besides, there IS no such thing as race, anyway - don't people watch the History Channel? Hahahahaha!
