And everything... especially, the home-made variety, (home-grown tomatoes, garlic, onion, etc., right from your own garden);canned & put-up yourself A lot of work, but, worth it, I have a organic vegi garden.& Love it!

I have done that a few times... I have a small kitchen garden...and I chop up tomatoes and peppers...gotta admit I go onion, and garlic tho,,,hate cilantro ...it over powers the flavor of the veggies

I used to work with a guy who made cucumber based (instead of tomato based) Salsa. It had plenty of heat but then when you bite into a cucumber it really balanced out the heat. And when he made it with fresh stuff from his garden...wow GREAT stuff.

The answers are so limited and not close to being the best cinco de mayo food. We will be watching the fight tonight and the guys are all here. We have tamales, menudo, chili rellenos, arroz y gandules, pasteles, pernil..the last 3 being Puerto Rican and in honor of Cotto.

Its like curry(Can't remember what its called originally) , except its a sauce, not a stew. Though it shares some ingredients too. The mysteries of the world. (I've seen shows where they made it on TV.)

None. I don't see why Americans make such a big deal of Cinco de Mayo. Mexicans don't even celebrate it. Only people from Puebla celebrate it, but in very small quantities.
