Genesis 1:1 - Revelation 22:21.
I love it all. Some specific favorites come and go with the current times and situations. As a celebration of the Word as a whole, one of my favorite chapters is Psalm 119. As a recognition of timing/appropriateness, I like Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. As an assurance on my position with God, I refer to Romans 8:28-39. The list goes on and on and on and...
it's many different passages for me. I actually have learned that many passages are intertwined woven together like a beautiful quilt. Yet my favorite book of the Bible is Joshua, because it foreshadows in a profound way the redmemption Christ brings to those who believe in Him. Joshua was also a conqueror which is foreshadowing what is to come for us, when the Son of Man returns as a theif in the night, on the clouds.
"and god was sorry he made man" I understand completely. Greatest line in the bible, in my humble opinion. I think that line sets the stage for the entire existence on this planet.
Christ's Resurrection and appearance to Mary of Magdalene.
The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event in history, providing irrefutable evidence that Jesus is who He claimed to be – the Son of God. The resurrection was not only the supreme validation of His deity; it also validated the Scriptures which foretold His coming and resurrection. Moreover, it authenticated Christ’s claims that He would be raised on the third day (John 2:19-21; Mark 8:31, 9:31, 10:34). If Christ’s body was not resurrected, we have no hope that ours will be (1 Corinthians 15:13, 16). In fact, apart from Christ’s bodily resurrection, we have no Savior, no salvation, and no hope of eternal life.
