So I just got done watching a tv show about what was worse for the entire population to do, alcohol or weed, and I'm curious, which one do you think is worse? Please leave comments

Weed doesn't kill brain cells (contrary to popular belief), doesn't cause lung cancer, and doesn't make you any less intelligent, (people are just stupid to begin with, not because of the plant) even though if you smoke TOO much it may make you slow and lethargic. Alcohol has a much higher death rate (of which marijuana has 0), causes liver damage, alcohol poisoning (can't overdose on weed), and makes people do stupid things (fight for no reason, crash cars a lot easier, impairs your judgment so that you may do things you would never do if you were sober, etc). I would say drinking alcohol is far worse than smoking weed, but that's just my opinion.View thread

The psychoactive compounds in cannabis are non-toxic and there is no evidence of toxicity to brain neurons. Conversely, chronic alcohol consumption is linked to all kinds of neurological damage.
According to UCLA, John Hopkins and Kaiser Permeate studies, there is no link between cannabis smoking and a higher incidence of mouth, throat, head and lung cancers, in non-tobacco using cannabis smokers. THERE ARE NO STUDIES THAT CONTRADICT THEIR FINDINGS.
Also according to the National Institute of Medicine, alcohol is more addictive than cannabis, nearly by a factor of 2X.

alcohol... its nice in moderation, but you basically cant function when your drunk, cant drive, barely talk right, cant walk straight, and people tend to make an ass of themselves, or get mad.

It's addictive, it kills more brain cells than marijuana.
Drinking a strong bottle of liquor could kill you, marijuana has never killed anyone ever.

I have not heard of any.
People who drink get drunk, get in their cars, drive fast, go home and beat up their families. People, who smoke marijuana get stoned, get in their cars, drive slowly, go home and eat and play with the kids.”
A man just finished a bottle of vodka. Another man just finished a blunt. They're both driving when they come to a stop sign. What happens?
The drunk flies right past it.
The stoner waits for the light to turn green...
Oh, and people HAVE died from an overdose of weed...if you eat too many brownies with too much weed baked in. Not to say that it happens more than alcohol-related deaths...because it doesn't, but it's not impossible.
Alcohol (and weed), can have many varying effects on people. It depends on the person. Not everyone gets drunk and starts fighting or puking everywhere or driving and crashing their cars into obliterated little pieces or dies from an overdose of alcohol.
Like someone else already posted...the key to either one of these "designer drugs" is MODERATION. ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING, without the discretion of moderation can kill a person. Too much water, which is quite possibly one of the most natural, neutral, and needed things in life, can kill someone. And no, I'm not talking about drowning...I'm talking about simply drinking too much water. Don't believe me, check the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
So, to get back to the question, both of them can be potentially lethal, it all depends on how you choose to u...

Personally, I choose to drink (and not smoke), and I can say that I have never been in a fight. I have thrown up a few times before from either mixing different alcohols or drinking one or more drinks than I probably should have. I have woken up with hangovers before, but similar to people who have smoked enough to learn how to do it without coughing up a storm, I have learned what my limits are, and I do not exceed them. I don't drive, I don't fight, I simply have a good time with my friends either at a bar or a house party or with some friends at home watching a movie or something.
