$800.00 for Sasha my Lab. But she is worth it besides being my hunting pal she is also my buddy and best friend. She does not judge me, she smiles all the time and she is a heck of a good listener and she is always happy to see me.

Setters are great Bird Dogs I had the good fortune last year of hunting pheasant behind two of them with my Black Lab.

He's from a good line, but i doubt he'd make a good working dog.

$200 for my cat. She was worth every penny. For my older cat, he was free. One of my mother's students had a cat that had just given birth and gave my mom one of the kittens. :)

Well, every pet I've ever had was either rescued or someone was giving away, so I've never bought a pet. However, I've had to pay vet bills before. My dog Stacy was rescued from some stupid people and had 3 different kinds of parasites living in her, fleas, upper respiratory infection, and coccidia (sp?) so I had to pay like $150 to get her all fixed up. Got her spayed for $10, though.

Nothing (except a small fee to help the no-kill shelter). I only have rescue animals. NOT a fan of puppy or kitty mills. In fact, they make me furious.

$500 to a sanctuary, to bring Lexi home. I knew the money was going to support the horses, dogs and cats left there, at least that is what I was told. The little dog almost died twice after she got out of that cage at the rescue facility, and the vet bills have far exceeded her adoption fee. She is now healthy, bratty, and feisty.

Well, our most expensive pet is "$300". She got into a big mess and had to be taken to the vet for stitches..she ended up staying there almost two weeks. My fiance paid the bill which was almost $300. So, she is basically a 300 dollar cat.
