Injecting meth once is enough to get you addicted. Doing meth is like doing toxic waste. It is not fit for human consumption in any amount. Alcohol, heroin and cocaine can be safe (if pure), but meth? Never.
Meth has caused permanent brain damage in monkeys and other animals very similar to humans.
A study offers a more complex analysis that seeks to examine nine categories of harm that drugs can do to the individual "from death to damage to mental functioning and loss of relationships" and seven types of harm to others. The maximum possible harm score was 100 and the minimum zero.
Overall, alcohol scored 72 – against 55 for heroin and 54 for crack. The most dangerous drugs to their individual users were ranked as heroin, crack and then crystal meth. The most harmful to others were alcohol, heroin and crack in that order.
Nutt (Dr. David Nutt) said "The Misuse of Drugs Act is past its sell-by date and needs to be redone," he said. "We need to rethink how we deal with drugs in the light of these new findings."
For overall harm, the other drugs examined ranked as follows: crystal meth (33), cocaine (27), tobacco (26), amphetamine/speed (23), cannabis (20), GHB (18), benzodiazepines (15), ketamine (15), methadone (13), butane (10), qat (9), ecstasy (9), anabolic steroids (9), LSD (7), buprenorphine (6) and magic mushrooms (5).
While there are many others that are dangerous and addicting alcohol is the true "gateway" drug, because it has been kept as the one legal recreational drug. There are more alcohol related deaths than all the others combined.
I'd put hard alcohol and heroin in the same category because they both create a physical dependency and induce violent withdraws, but alcohol is more dangerous in my opinion because it's so easy to obtain and highly underestimated as far as addictions go.
THE worst drug ever invented. Kills more innocent people, destroys more families, messes up more kids heads, causes more fights, accidents, raises insurance rates for everybody, AND has the highest relapse rate of anyone who tries to quit. It infuriates me when I see ads on TV or in magazines for it.
I would say meth and crack, then alcohol. Heroin is actually a benign substance, it is the impurities and dirty injections that cause the physical damage. But it's very addictive, just as addictive as alcohol.
Like Harry Hill always says "Hmmm heroin, it's so moreish"!
No it won't. BAD meth will, but pure meth won't. And it's pretty easy to quit too. Trust me, after years of using, I quit no problem. I know alcoholics that CAN'T quit. I wouldn't get into booze for all the money in the world.

Tobacco is pretty bad stuff too.
