I've had trouble sleeping, and have tried reading, listening to music, drinking hot chocolate, even having a bath before i sleep.

Need some help!

I always just close my eyes and think of something really blissful. Works sometimes

Chocolate contains caffeine, so that could be a problem at bedtime.

But without going into all the stuff to avoid... I lie quietly on my back and imagine I'm floating on an air mattress in a pool-- barely moving with the water. To clear my mind, I just recognize when I'm thinking about something, and gently put it aside. Thinking is what keeps me awake more than anything else, I've discovered. :O\

Some people say that a warm, wet washcloth in a sandwich bag, placed over their eyes helps to put them away pretty quckly. There are also meditation techniques and sound effects files (thunderstorms are great!) that you can try, just to help eliminte distractions.

I sure wish you luck-- sleepless nights are no fun at all.

Yeah, what keeps me up is the thought of my future :S

Yep, they really are not. >.<

Stressed about the future? I don't know if this will help or not, but I've learned to put those worrisome thoughts completely away, to be dealt with at a better time. Usually never even pick them up again, as there's no need to.

Most things never turn out anywhere near as bad as we imagine, anyway... and it's easy to imagine all sorts of horrible nonsense when you're trying to get to sleep, just out of frustration. You're not alone. Not by a long shot.

Hmm, well what I think about is whether or not i want to be a girl. Its really hard/confusing and it keeps me up all night :/ Though yes, i know what you mean about letting it play out...

That's a big one, alright... but you're young, and that works very much in your favor. You don't have to decide anything at all, until you're ready.

On a movie the main character told a woman to just repeat 1 2 2 over and over again. Think that was the same principle. It worked for her in the movie. lol

swimming before bed, having REALLY comfy pillows, and sometimes on the worst days pop a melatonin (the kind that dissolves under your tongue works faster for me)

in that case doing other forms of exersize would help. Going for a walk for half an hour would probably do good as well.
