I've had terrible migraines on and off since I was a kid. They've put me down as long as three days, and it's hurt so bad that I can't sleep with a pillow under my head. Out of all the migraine pills I've been prescribed, Zomig works the best for me. With, of course, a dim room, a fan on low and no noise except that.

..I had a friend whom was txting me while i was driving to someone else's house...when..her txting started becoming "erratic" ..it became all mumble jumble...didn't make sense....I knew I had to get to hers (20mins away) asap..when I got there..both her two kids were sitting on the couch in their lounge with a very concerned look upon their faces...I asked them where mum was.... the youngest one said .."Mum has gone to sleep in the bedroom..she's not well Nick." ..Hwen you hear those words..uyou think the worst..so i calmly said to the kids.." It's okay now.. I'm here...you guys just sit in here i will go see how mum is ;)".....I quickily walk into her room where she is out cold lying on the floor....with the odd spurt of awakening in and out of consciouness...I rang the Ambulance..and got ahold of her Hubby...finally she came around.. and what it was..was a Severe attack of Migraine!..It honestly looked like a Stroke ...she's on good medication now...still drinks too much coffee, lol but.. at least she's still here.

That's awful! I don't pass out, but sometimes before one I'll get these shiny, blurry things in my line of vision. It's hard to describe, but I really can't see! It's only happened once when I was driving home from work, thankfully I wasn't on the freeway and I called my son to come get me. Sometimes it's a prelude to a whopper migraine, and sometimes it goes away. My last one really did scare me, after I heard what happened to Bret Michaels.

I've gone from vegetarian back again, no change. It doesn't change anything. I quit drinking coffee, now I have the occasional cup of tea. Still get them. I just remember what he said, though, about it feeling like he was being hit by a baseball bat in the back of the head. And that's what it feels like!

Just kidding. When I have a BAD headache, I usually take three or four Aspirins/Ibuprofens/Tylenols.

If the headache is in the frontal potion of the head is is probably cause by sinus irritation or infection try using a warm compress between the eyes and just under the eyes directly above the cheek bones This should relieve the swelling of the sinus and cause your nose to run.

Uh...I have been waking up with really bad tension headaches lately. I have popped so many Advil, I feel like I've built a tolerance to it. Just yesterday it took 10 to get rid of my headache. There has got to be an easier solution!

Apple juice 2 cups of 100% real apple juice works every time.

Some of these other answers are ridiculous.

Marijuana is more likely to cause headaches if smoked as smoking causes constriction in blood flow

Sex? Come on - anything equivalent to exercise or orgasm would work then and it doesn't

Any over the counter medicine has too many harmful side effects.

Head on - worked a few times for me, but not always.
