That is so cute! I wouldn't mind living in one in the future as long as there's a lot of land.

That's good enough for me. The other posts here are just these big extravagant houses, I prefer something a little simple, a little cozy, with a lot of memories to offer.

A classic Victorian. I like the simple and historical elegance, but they still manage to look modern and gorgeous.

That, or a house with Gothic architecture.

A perfect house for me would have the following:

    1. from entrance in the front to the door in the back a direct path without interference.
    2. Made of brick and concrete, rather than wood.
    3. A courtyard inside the house, without a roof to get sun and rain
    4. A garden in the huge backyard
    5. Plenty of cross-ventilation
    6. South Facing
    7. Plenty of natural light
    8. Plenty of glass where one can't see from outside, but I can see the outside world
    9. High Ceilings
    10. My Mom and Dad inside

I don't want anything unnecessarily large, just somewhere I can live comfortably on a lot of land and raise the kids. Maybe a plantation house. I love big porches :)

Well, my friends and I have this long-running joke about how one day I'll have my very own "Fortress of Doom." One of my friends drew it up for me (he wants to be an architect) and it included a moat filled with alligators, a two-story garage for my get-away cars, multiple trap doors that lead to the marshmallow-filled basement, and a water park on the top floor. It was pretty epic.

I'm living in it and loving it! No, it's not a castle. It might be a tad too big for two people, 2 dogs and three cats but we all have plenty of room! So what is my dream home.......plenty of windows, WALLS of windows and tall ceilings! Lots of greenery and a pond. I would love it even it was half its size!

At this point I would love to have a dining room again. We moved to CT 9 years ago to another new house but no dining room. My furniture is in the basement because I keep hoping someday we can put on an addition. I miss my dining room especially around Christmas and Thanksgiving. I also like big rooms. Colonial style.
