Depends on the age and situation , some personalities can do it !! My father was my BESTEST friend . Before the Ge of 10 years I understood the basic idea of a checking account , spending and saving money . I understood in principal that if I work for something it is mine !!! When you grow up you should be able to decide what you want to do in life ! he gave me advice that lasted a lifetime !!! My mother was the type to be unresponsive and needed constant care !! When I was a child she was a child. When I grew up she was still a child !!

Sure beats being enemies with your parents. Parents should be on a friendly basis with their adult children.

If you don't have some kind of ability to interact after that many years of living with someone, there's something seriously wrong with one or both of you.
