You said he was on the couch, drunk, with you Dad's gun ? Two things wrong there:
1 The gun should have been locked in a case or used a trigger guard and not loaded.
2 You should have not let BF touch your fathers weapons ESPECIALLY drunk....

Don't blame the guns....... lack of common sense was the problem there..

Lol that's what everyone thinks. My fault for not specifying. ^-^ But why would I have them locked up? It's my best friend and boyfriend. And he did it because.. Well I'm not sure. He just had it with him on the couch, it fell and went off.

you take all those guns, lock them somewhere ONLY you and your parents know. don't tell ANYONE. keep your friend out of your house for a good while. figure out whats going on with your friend and get a hold of the situation in which he is in and help him as as you can. sorry Niecey.

Wow thats intense. I know last week I went to a party and one of my friends tried to hang himself at the party. It was bad, we caught him and saved him. Then the cops came and stuff. Not cool.

Get rid of the guns!

When there are guns in a house and kids are around, curiosity will attract one of them to toy around with a gun and someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed.

There are some parents who have to live the rest of their lives with agonizing mental perdition because one of their kids played with a gun and either shot himself or herself or another child and a funeral took place that left all the living involved with tears of sorrow.

I would rethink my friendship with that person. My parents had guns in the house and no one ever did something that stupid. It isn't the guns that are the issue. No one would have ever laid their hands on the guns save my dad anyhow. We didn't lack that much common sense or knowledge of guns.

He had the gun (was drunk) and it was on the couch with him. Then it decides to fall off the couch and shoot through my roof! If it was turned a different way, he would be dead..
