What would you do if you were gay?

I am..

I'd probably live my life the same, just my partner would be different. I'd want to be open about the person I love.

But she wouldn't let me.. xD

I'd be living my normal life, no closet required and my best friend is married.

Want to bang chicks rather than dudes.

Presumably continue my life as it is now, only expressing a romantic interest in men.

I would force myself to turn straight.

because my family are strict and they don't want me to be gay. My mother said she'll never talk to me again if i was gay.

I guess I'd go somewhere that a lot of other gay people live and have a normal life and stuff. Not much different.

BEING gay isn't a sin. ACTING on it is, and that's what I'd have to fight.

I'm nondenominational. I grew up Catholic, and currently attend a Baptist church. I've also attended synagogue in the past.

I'm not, and can't imagine being.

I hope I would endeavor to grapple with my same sex attraction within the same Christian context under which I now live as a heterosexually attracted person. I would pray that my lusts didn't lead me to act out in fornication. Whenever I fell, as we humans tend to do, then I would go to confession with a contrite heart. Ask for the strength to not do it again. Ask for forgiveness, perform my penance, and continue on with my life. Repeating as necessary, and hoping that the Lord would lessen my temptation as life goes on. Just as I do now when I let the Father down with my own particular forms of mischief. I don't see it as any different. Different crosses for different people. We don't really ever know why we are given the crosses we are to bear, but, we do have a responsibility to come to terms with bearing them, if we are to be good Christians. And promptly admitting when we've done wrong, and making amends to the best of our ability, then endeavoring not to do it again. I certainly admit this gets easier with age, practice and self-discipline.
