i am not a mother myself..but we are 5 girls and no brother ..we wanted a brother ..my mother tried but she aborted2 times..then we gave up for the idea .!!!

Did your mother abort just because it wasn't a boy? If so, I find that very sad and wrong. I guess, without the abortions, you would have been one of 7 girls.

Desperate??? That sounds a little over the top considering you have been blessed with so many healthy children - enjoy what you have and be thankful and pray about what you should do in the future...God hears your prayers.

We can't second guess God, and I am a firm believer, that what we are given is what he (God), purposed for us to have. I have two daughters and one son, when they were little I use to say that I was glad to have children the way I had them, however, as they grew older, it would have been nice to have had two sons and one daughter, but that was not the lot that I was dealt. Son's are a mother's delight!

I'd say this would be the best solution. Many children need a home and it ensures couples get a child of the gender they want. I think this is very unlikely to ever happen to me though. I don't have any children, nor am I married. But I hope I can persuade my future wife for us to use some gender swaying method to let our first child be a girl. A son would be great, but I'd adore having a daughter. If somehow it happens that we ultimately have 3 or so boys and no girls, we can always go for adoption.
