"And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. 'The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God."
It's so far-fetched that I wouldn't even care. It's also impossible. But if they've gotten on this far with it, fine. I'd have to tell my work though because it's illegal for us to employ them, and we work together.
I'm not a jackass. I met a kid that was an illegal immigrant in high school and I met another in college. The kid in high school was highly intelligent. Unfortunately he got a crappy job and then went to Mexico instead of going to college. The other was from Korea and could only attend a private college without a SSN.
No, but you couldn't be a very good friend and not know something that important about the person. I didn't make myself clear in the answer above. Do you see, now?
If a person was illegal they would most likely keep it a secret from even their friends, There have been serial killers and their closest friends and even family never suspected it, things aren't always as they seem.
and I would do everything I could to help them become a citizen. My wife is an immigrant. When I met her she was here on political asylum and there was nothing I could do to help her become a citizen so I do not think I would be able to help my friend.
I have known several people who are illegal immigrant and I would never think of turning them in. They are hard working families who are trying to make a living. The do nothing to harm other people and do work that Americans think they are too good to do.
I know immigration is an issue in America right now but I used to drive past fields at 5:30 am and I watched these people working in the cold fog to make a living. I have nothing but respect for them.
I had a friend that was from Trinidad. He was in this country on a student visa, He made the mistake of getting a job as a mechanic, Joined the reserves, bought and registered a car. That got him deported. He was not allowed to work in this country under a student visa. This was in 1968.
Leviticus 19:33-34
It's none of my business.
