Well i`m sure he could run faster than me, i think i`d smile speak softly to indicate i was friendly + posed no threat + then walk away calmly, don`t think you could do much else confronted with such a creature, you would`nt stand an earthly unless you had a gun + i`d really not want to kill something like this unless it was necessary. I think i`d probably fill my pants in the process lol.
I don't really know, but every time I have faced the unexpected, apparently I have made the right choice. Face to face with a bear in Yellowstone Park, meeting with a sizable shark in Destin Bay and am still here unscathed. Since I don't ever go into the woods unarmed, I assume I would decide upon circumstances. The bear and I stared at each other for a few moments before he decided to leave. He was close enough I could feel his breath. The shark kept on swimming by and I relaxed after a while and the boat came back. Decisions always depend upon circumstance. I have been lucky so far. So have my encounters. If any of them had made another decision, we both would have been worse off for the encounter.
