close to $900,000 so far---it's been 1 1/2 yrs--- for my husband's heart transplant
thanks to excellent insurance and research grants we've hardly paid anything
A little over $850,000.00 crushed two vertebra lower back at work, between the surgeries (4) physical therapy, rehab and re-training (A degree in Business Management) I never returned to work in previous occupation. Took four years for healing and re-training.
Thank you, but no worries, had a great Doctor I have an 80% disability but I am not disabled. I go to work everyday still do most everything I use to do just not as aggressively as before, but then I am older now and don't bounce anymore.
£0.00 at the point of service.
Of course it came from my Income Tax, but I am willing to pay that instead of some private company that make my premiums unpayable due to "pre-existing conditions" (being a woman of child bearing age) and projected need of health care as I get older (being female).
Just ask Martha Wainwright, when she went into emergency labour in London.
Never had one directly. Got the NHS.
Just paid my national insurance for the next quarter, £12.50. Not bad to access the 4th best healthcare system on the planet. For £12.50 or to put it another way 10 pence a day. I get cover if I get a nasty stubbed toe or small cell carcinoma.
On the downside we do get one of, if not THE worst taxation system on fuel, so it isnt all roses. Cost nearly a ton to fill up yesterday.
