I got divorced in 06 and lived on the streets for a few months, then in a homeless shelter for three yrs while I got my life back together.Currently I am working for the VA in NM.Each day is easier.I work and pay my bills now and am so happy and blessed to have a job and a place to sleep.Without Gods help none of this would be possible.

I believe things happen to us all for a reason, whatever does not kill us only makes us stronger :)

Mainly 2nd grade through freshman year. Sixth and 7th grade years were the worst. Pure misery.

Im sorry things aren't working out for you. but I guess it's at least a good thing you can still live with both your parents, and are financially better off than if they were divorced :)

its like i only live with my mom though. my dad gets home from work, goes to sleep and on the weekends, he sleeps. i dont even care if i have to go live with my mema, it'd be better than the fighting.

That is tough. I'm lucky that my parents always stayed married and, never fought in front of us as kids, even though they went through many rough patches. The main drama in our home was sibling fights which put a strain on their marriage, that was a living hell at times. But they stuck together and worked through it and are happy now. Try and have hope that things can and will work out over time. My parents wanted to divorce numerous times but stayed together and are happily married now. Nearly all marriages are salvageable if your parents are strong and remember the marriage vows "for better or worse". Divorce is much messier and much more painful than sticking through the rough times

My parents never fought in front of us. My brother and I had plenty of right out fights. Now that we are way older I see my dad get mad about things. My mother is very mellow and soft spoken. Married 54 years.

Well that's really good. I believe pain exists to teach us lessons and enable us to develop our souls and grow. It's good you can appreciate the positive value of what you have been through. Wish you all the best for your future!

Jr high, I was so incredibly depressed there wasn't an hour that passed by that I didn't seriously try/thought about committing suicide.

Yes, I decided I was being too selfish and it would be better to put all the negatives to the back of my head to forget.
