What type of material make the most comfortable sheets?

You!

One-third of a person's life is spent sleeping (when getting the prescribed 8 hours of sleep a night).

Since we spend so much time in bed shouldn't we be comfortable there? ... Please give benefits to the type of sheet you prefer in the comments.

Flannel, of course! It's like being enveloped by a soft, fuzzy, touchy,
feely teddy bear. Of course I live very close to the ocean so i can use
flannel year round. makes me happy.

I love Egyptian best & "Pima" cotton sheets second, 600 thread count (no less). You'll pay for them, but enjoy the comfort they offer.

I don't buy anything less than 600 or more I usually only sleep on 1000 thread count. Some better sheets can make a 600 count that is soft enough. I can not stand any less too itchy

I'm glad someone is finally talking about this topic. I've been in two discussions this week about bed sheets. We all agree. The best stuff is cotton with a high thread count and very tight weave. Macy's has the best.

One more little tidbit, for anyone interested who travels. Holiday Inn is using this type of bedsheet now(they're advertising it), with softer mattresses. Best night's sleep on the road I've ever had. No, I don't work for Holiday Inn.

I sleep on my saddle with nothing to keep me warm but my rifle, my pony and the stacks of cash I robbed from the stage coach!

Butch, sounds like a dream. I still say you need a little flannel in your life.

Nothing better than satiny cotton on the skin. It can be cool, but once you are snuggled in they become warm.
