What Turns You Off on a First Date?

Maybe if they decide to have a blue tooth conversation without informing me. Though if they were just replying to a friend or family member. Its alright, heck I wouldn't mind a date where we watched a ton of Youtube videos and conversation. LOL, its a bit hard come up with a straight answer.

Hmm, I don't know. If I need to belch, I usually will. They're not really ever that loud or large and I believe in being myself from the get-go. If my date belched, I might even try to one-up him! But that's just me! If you don't like it, you don't have to date me any more. And that's exactly why I prefer to be real from the beginning, so we can see if we're compatible from the start instead of wasting each others' time with facades that take a few months of investment to slowly peel away.

The others are not great, but I cannot STAND those who tip poorly. My sister and several of my friends are servers; they get paid well under minimum wage and work damn hard--tips are pretty much their only paychecks. So unless the service was atrocious, tipping well is a necessity in my mind, and I would be severely annoyed at someone who tips poorly.

I definitely agree with you. Any guy who tips cheap, especially on a first date is a loser.

Cellphone Dependency? Well, it may be a bit annoying, but it may also be the nerves of the first date. Also, what if he or she has an emergency? Who knows?

Grabbing food without Asking? I actually don't care. :)

Burping? LOL we'd have a burping competition (not really, but you know what I mean).

Tipping Poorly? What if he or she doesn't have much money? Not many of us are stinking rich.

Licking your Fingers? Hell, I do it too, sometimes.

Though, I have to admit "Saying it and spraying it" might be the one that bothers me so-so. Of course it's unpleasant to get spit in your face every time your partner talks, but if he or she can't help it, then I'll put up with it. It's not their fault.

The first date shouldn't be one for pointing out the quirks that occurred. It should be to highlight the BEST parts, and ignore the not so good ones. Everyone;s got flaws. I bet that many of the people here that pointed out what they hated most do the same or even worse things.

There should have been a choice for OTHER or ALL OF THE ABOVE. Although any of the behaviors listed would be enough to turn me off on a first date, and make a second date virtually unthinkable, I chose TIPPING POORLY as my #1 turn-off. It's not only that leaving a small tip makes a guy look cheap. It demonstrates to me that the jackass isn't concerned about the welfare of others, since waitresses and busboys basically live off of their tips. Another dating faux pas is assuming that, just because you took me out on the town and treated me to an expensive meal, I'm going to play "hide the toy" with you at the end of the date. Other turn-offs include farting, having B.O., wearing an outfit that looks terrible, dousing yourself in cologne, and crapping your drawers, not necessarily in that order.

Any guy who tips poorly, especially on a first date has no class. Waiters and waitresses work very hard, and I always tip very good. You are also right about all the above. If a date does any of these, most likely he always or often does.

I always tip at least 20% in bars and restaurants, because I know that's what servers and bartenders count on to pay the bills. These people are paid a mere pittance, and there are times, if tips are bad, that they have a hard time paying their bills.

Not spraying it, but some girls get overly eager to talk to me, not saying much about myself, but I know how start a conversation with a woman that they can really enjoy.

Also can't stand women who dress like strippers... Fun for a one night thing but after that you wont hear from me again!
