in the case of a fire one is to leave to a meeting spot with family while staying low. during an earthquake you hide under a hard surface and protect your head. you hide in your basement during a tornado. etc. but what is one to do if a tsunami is coming and they are 100% going to be affected by it. please break down your answers into what to do when just feet away or miles away and so on. thanks. :)

Get to high ground ASAP or hope you can hold your breath for a long time.

wow, this is depressing and this may sound stupid but will holding your breath help or is there no chance of making it.

The breath thing was a poor joke, sorry. The trouble with getting swept up in one is that you'll probably be shreaded by all the other stuff being carried along with you. Get to high ground if you can or climb to an upper story of a solid building, climb a tree. Look on U Tube at the vids of the one in 2004, scarey stuff.
