My current mortgage is $1400 a month. That's the most I've ever paid for housing. The duplex I rented before buying my house was $725 a month... second highest amount I've paid.

My mortgage is the most I've paid, it includes the escrow payment, and is around $750. Not bad for a three bed, two bath with full basement :)

$1,800 per month for 750 Square Feet of space. I've been told it's a steal. Somehow though, I'm the one who feels robbed.

My mortgage is $1400 a month for a 2300 sq foot house on a quarter acre lot. Yeah, I'd feel robbed if I were you.

Yes, my last mortgage payment was under 800 for 1500 square feet of space. I had to go where the work is and even though the place is small, The ceilings are over 14 feet high so my kids have loft beds. It's the price we pay to live in a smelly crowded city! And if you were to look up rents for our area, you'd see it really IS a steal! It's a good place and I think I managed to find the only apt in nyc with a really long kitchen counter!

I don't know the exact figure because it goes up all the time with the taxes and insurance. Homeowners insurance is astronomical here in fl. and on top of that we have flood insurance. We've been in the house for a long time so my guess is it's not over $1,200 with taxes and home owners insurance.

No I converted UK pounds to dollars. Because of the lack of building space in the UK property prices are really high in some areas.
