    I say that improved medical care is adversely affecting the health of the planet itself, promoting rampant reproduction in areas where starvation and disease are endemic. Heartless as it sounds, the weak and ignorant will drag us all down-- 180 degrees off
    of the way other species evolve.

    Well, not necessarily. Rats, mice, cats as examples will overpopulate to the extent they would starve or be wiped out by disease. It is sad that man is no different from the lower species. But, at least we have wars to thin us out thanks to the industrial military complex.

    Rats, etc. don't go way out of their way to ensure that the least fit of their kind survive to reproduce where the environment doesn't support it.

    Oh, I see now what you were meaning and you are absolutely correct. Humanity does keep the weaker of the species alive and reproducing so that survival of the fittest no longer applies. Sorry for the misinterpretation.
