What religion did you choose to follow?

its always funny when someone is wrong even if im wrong its funny..... and how would you know if you have more information then me.... I sure don't know if you have more or less information then me and stating you do ends up being quite self-righteous... what I know is that nature itself can and does show the truth but its up to each person to figure it out(which means you need to WANT to know it)...... also I already think we have the greatest gift its called a LIFE anything after that is a plus

again you could be very wrong just like I could in this whole subject.... and the thing is Deism is not really a religion but a basic set of beliefs like Theism which is just the belief in the existence of a God or Gods the major difference(for the most part) is that Theism uses a group of people's revelations to tell others how God(usually through a "holy" book) is while Deism everyone has their own revelations which does not need to be shared with others since its not always meant for others

and then when it comes to religion I see there being two types of religion.... one is were a group of people believe something based on the same information while the second one has the same premise just that there is a "leader" that dictates things for everyone effectively causing them to not to try and learn for themselves

also I do focus on Jesus just not the miracles like multiplying bread and fish, turning water into wine, ...etc

and I never said you were forcing me to do anything

I've been around this ole world for a very long time, & have yet to find someone who claims they have read the Bible & studied it, to actually understand what they've read upon further questioning & discussion. It's one thing having read something, & quite a different matter actually understanding it, especially within context, from the original languages as opposed to translations, & as a result of spiritual appraisal. I didn't say that to sound self-righteous or a know-it-all, it just generally rings true.

There are "Intellectuals" & some atheists, when carrying on a mature & non-threatening conversation about God & the Bible, that at least admit when they don't "get it", or they show a healthy respect for the Bible, even if they cannot make themselves come to terms with God. Anti-theists & people who do not know what they're talking about are much more defensive & begin with the mocking, name-calling & ad hominems, like is frequently seen with insecure bullies, in order to cover their lack of knowledge & understanding.

Christianity is NOT a "religion". It just isn't, especially when one understands what makes a religion a religion. That doesn't mean there aren't a lot of "religious" people who claim to be Christians, but Christianity is an extremely unique belief system, & quite different from "religions". Deism IS a religion of sorts, as it involves people making up their beliefs as they go, believing they must be "good" in order to achieve spirituality, please God, or get into heaven or come back in a different, evolved form in the "next life", etc. It is a belief system without a Savior, with no moral authority (because it's arbitrary & relative), & no clear purpose. This is religion at its finest.

The RCC is not Christian, because it is steeped in legalism, rules, a hierarchy of church leadership, goes against the Bible, adds & takes away from the Bible, is heretical & engaged in blasphemous behaviors, & is controlling of its congregants . . . all things that turn off the previous "devout" followers who have now "lost their religion."

You might focus on Jesus, but you focus on a false Jesus, which is prophesied in the Bible. You make up your own Jesus, not the One who is the subject of the entire OT & NT. That is blasphemous & is a rejection of Jesus Christ. It's like someone focusing on you without even getting to know you, then espousing a whole religion based on that false version of who you are. It certainly does not end well for the believer who has their own rules & revelations, apart from any TRUTH.
