What pets do you have?

I have a wonderful little companion who is called Buttons. She is as cute as a button and deserves the name. We were looking for a dog for a long time because my family doctor thought it was what I needed for varies medical reasons. We finally found her in an animal shelter while on vacation in Florida. She was a dirty, tangled mess with the fur so matted around her eye you could not find them. The shelter might have cleaned her up but they did not and I took her anyway. We had to have a groomer clean her up right away and fly her home with us. A visit to a vet at home determined that neglect of her eyes had left her blind with damage to the cornea. We took her to an animal eye surgeon and the surgery managed to save her sight and improve it some. Now she can see but is extremely near sighted. A wonderful little girl who shows her love in many ways and runs around the house without missing a corner. She wants to be with us all the time and is in every sense a lap dog. I rarely leave the house without her. She has learned to trust me when I say "Down, down, " for a step and ,"Up up, " for a step. As long as she can trot alongside you if it hard to imagine she can only see about a foot or so in front of her nose.
