What makes you paranoid?

For
me, it's when people leave on vacation or for a trip. It's happened to
me often enough that the person never comes back. In fact, it has
happened to me about 5 times now -- two of the people passed away
suddenly and the other three just didn't have the heart to tell me when
they left that they weren't coming back. Part of me hopes they're
alright... that they are just cowardly jerks who feared my 5 foot
wrath. Admittedly, the ego in me, wants them to have desperately wanted
to return to me, but were unfortunately unable... What freaks you out
and makes you act like a nutjob?
