What language would you rather learn (If you had to learn one?)?

    I am learning spanish right now in school and I want to learn it because I want ot be a police officer and there are a lot of spanish speaking people and it would really help me. I am NOT saying all bad people are spanish. I am NOT saying all spanish people are bad either.

    I picked Chinese because I think it would really be different. I would prefer to learn more German, since it has strong ties to my families' heritage.

    Spanish because more & more that is all you hear. Some of our customers are of Hispanic back ground so it's pretty much the secondary Language around where I live. I would be so greatful to be able to understand what they're trying to tell me or ask.

    I like french out of the choices which I took in High School but I would like to learn Norwegian. My last name is Norwegian and its about all I know of the language besides Jarlsberg Cheese. My name has the J that sounds like Y in it.

    This or German. German because it's so creepy sounding, Japanese because it is so beautiful. And both because there are quite a lot of of Hispanic students at my school who like to speak their native language. It would be great to be able to speak German or Japanese around them, saying something like "Grass is green." in a really intimidating manner, and see what they do ;)

    What about Italian, French and Latin? Ya cover one or two of the (and this title often makes me grin for its irony) Romance Languages, and ya gotta cover them all.

    I just love the language I do not need to give further reason for my answer it is also nice in todays world and society to be bilingual it sure as hell helps!!

    Specifically Mandarin, just in case. I've took French in high school, my french teacher told me not to take French III plus do not remember much. I am not very good at languages, I have a hard enough time with English!!

    We know what you mean Courtney. You're going to harrass and pull over all ethnic people of color. :) just kidding.

    Spanish is a very good language to learn. Why not work for the INS so that we can deport some of the illegals.
