seeing as i am a Satanist (LaVeyan), i say most Satanists are underrepresented, misunderstood, and disrespected because of lies, rumors, and false accusations.
Well, I'll be honest, I don't know much about Satanism. And because I don't know that much and have always associated Satan with evil...well, you see where I'm going with this. But hey, they may have just been portrayed as evil and are just misunderstood. So I really don't know what to think of them.
depends on what type of satanism you are talking about. if you mean theistic or lucifarian satanists my thoughts are pretty much "whatever". I am a laveyan satanist, so naturally I agree with that type
Well whatever, satanism is satanism. I was attacked by a succubi, and I mean attacked. I am a born again child of The King, the One True God, and none of His angels have ever attacked me. Demons are foul disgusting beings, and satanists only fuel them. The succubi are controlled by Lillith, and as a true warrior she must know that to declare war by sending out attacks on selibate ppl, shame. Is that the best she can do?
My view of Theistic Satanists Is that they are trying to stand out, or feel that they have Become so far away from God that they believe worshipping satan is the only choice they have.
As for LaVeyans, It seems like an interesting Religion, much like Crowley's Thelma. I find their belief in magic to be quite fascinating. I practice Magic myself and find myself somewhat agreeing with their rules rather than the law in Leviticus. I am a Christian But I hold them in High Respect.
I like em they've never attacked me for any reason let alone because I'm not one, a few have backed me when I've debated against Christian fundies on SH and we also share quite a few of the same values and beliefs.
I am one, and all my (mostly christian) friends are cool with it. I think its stupid that people are so narrowminded that they judge someone on a tiny aspect of their lives. I'm also vegetarian, straightedge, and an animal rights activist, so i dont think I'll be sacrificing any animals soon XD.
It depends on if you are talking about true Satanists, or Satan worshipers. I don't see the point of worshiping Satan, however I do respect Satanists. Don't fight the inner animal, embrace it.
Well, I guess that was my mistake in the name. Satanists don't actually worship Satan...they don't worship anyone. What I meant though was What's your opinion of Devil-Worshippers.
Hmm. To me they're a little odd. I respect that you can worship whomever or whatever you like, but it seems to me that to worship Satan, you have to admit to a certain extent that the Christians are right. But that's just my view.
Yes, but God wiped out his earth. We're his creation, and we totally screwed up the world once, so he flooded it. Satan on the other hand, used to actually be an angel named Lucifer. However, his sin was Pride, and as Paradise has no place for sin, he was cast down to hell. Sure, Satan killed less people in the bible, But Satan also tempts you to do wrong. Satan also torments people in the circles of hell.
Judging by your name, I'd say you're an average guy who listens to Slipknot and wants to stand out in a crowd. What I'm talking about are the actual Devil-Worshiping Satanists.
I believe Satanists are just like everyone else, except for the fact that they are more misunderstood. Just like any other religion, there are those who practice Satanism who are moral and there are the extremists who make all the people who practice it look foul when it's really just a minority. Every belief system out there is like this.
Honestly? I think adults who identify with such things are narcissists, hanging onto a fantasy they picked up at an Ozzy concert years ago. I think teens who wear this label are just desperate to be different in some way, and badly in need of attention.
I don't mean to insult anyone, but I can't think of a pleasant way to say it that conveys what I want it to.
Well, me for example, I chose this because I agree with all the aspects. It fits me and I can actually identify with it better than any other religion.
Well I have more sympathy for Satanists than Christians because I don't see many Satanists running to my door asking me if I heard of the good news about Satan, nor do many Satanists discriminate against others on moral ground. Also isn't it more American to worship Satan anyways. We are talking about a guy who rejected following a sociopath who murders people for something as stupid as touching yourself and leveled whole cities because of the presence of Homosexuals in the two cities. We don't tolerate tyrants as a general policy and object to such people.
Idk about Satan worshipers, but satanists don't really believe in satan (ironic, right?) we merely see gods (and thus, demons as a projection of the human state we believe that we are our own 'god' in a sense.
So, no, no human sacrifices
