What Is Your Opinion On Nudism?

Actually it is not illegal to walk around nude, but if there is a public complaint they will most likely charge you with something or the other.

In Texas it is very much illegal to walk around in the nude...

Totally uncomfortable with it. I just don't see how people can feel normal walking around nude.

I'm not agreeable nor comfortable with the idea of public nudity. I do not see the connection with public nudity and explaining the birds and the bees to children. I don't think public nudity is pleasing to God. Even Adam and Eve covered up their private parts with leafs.

I believe if we were meant to be clothed we would have been born with clothes on. I don't think there is anything wrong with being a nudist, but society does not agree, therefore they have nudist camps. If you don't want to see ppl in their birthday suits avoid these places.

Curious about the life . . . do nudists judge each other about their bodies? Do they, as in the movie "The Hangover" ever ask another "Would you put some pants on? I think it's weird that I have to ask this twice?"

I love walking around naked after a shower, but this is a very rare thing . . . between two older kids and my affinity for having the blinds open all day, I don't get to indulge too often!

I love how nudists can be how they are and i really think the only thing perpetuating the "anti nudistry" is the fashion industrys fear of losing customers.

You may have a point about the fashion industry! Could you imagine the panic that would ensue . . . . Fashion designers the world over would develop that puffed out lip look!

Personally though i think if it (the actual lifestyle not just walking around naked) was encouraged more, then it would be a big help against most people stupidly obsessing over how they look in comparison to others and against people obsessing over criticizing how others look in comparison to themselves.

So long as strict hygiene is observed, then I wouldn't care if people chose to be nude in public. Frankly, I'd never engage in it myself, I could never stand the humiliation.

I think it is a wonderful and beautiful thing. People should not be forced to be ashamed of their bodies. Clothing has its purpose in protecting us from adverse weather, but beyond that it is an uncomfortable and restrictive show of false, or at least unnecessary modesty.

This is not happening anytime soon anyway. Or ever. But HYPOTHETICALLY if it were allowed to happen, just no. It's wrong on so many levels. It wouldn't just work out perfectly with that being the outcome like you described.

My friend and I actually did a presentation on nudism, and I was surprised at how un-sexual the lifestyle really is. I respect them, and it's their choice, but I would never do it, and I wouldn't want to go around outside and see random naked people walking down the street lol. And people have dirty enough minds as it is! But really, having the parents talk about sex earlier and the kids choosing more wisely...I really have no idea.

I really, really doubt it would work that way. That is one of those things that might sound good in theory and would not bear out the theory in reality.

Personally I don't think I could do it. I'm self conscious about my body. Shoot, I don't even parade around the house in the nude. The only time I strip completely down is when I go to take a shower (or when the wife is feeling frisky (LOL) If folks want to live this way then that's fine for them. Whatever floats their boat.

Some things are better kept private. I'm in pretty good shape but it is just not for me. There are many people I would never want to see nude anyway.

I have two double closets full of clothes, plus some in storage, and I have like 150 pairs of shoes. I wouldn't want to go nude because I like my clothing too much! Besides, I don't even like being naked in front of MYSELF!

You do have a point that it could be more healthy and open for people, and make it easier for parents to explain sex to their kids. It's funny, because when folks consider nudists, they think it would be sexy. It's usually anything BUT sexy. These people don't look like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They look like real, everyday people with all different body types. I do think that the nudists have MUCH healthier body images and WAY more self-esteem than clothes nuts like me. Being a nudist definitely IS NOT a lifestyle for anyone with body dysmorphic disorder!
