I have a lot of them. My dad once bought me a brown stuffed doggy with floppy ears and a squeaky tail. I was a toddler at the time and carried "squeaky" on all my adventures.
My childhood was on a farm, which is hard work. But the air was clean, and our food was fresh from the garden. No fast food. Only 3 channels on TV so we played a lot of board games... Monopoloy, Scrabble, etc. Outside, Hide n Seek and Red Rover and Swinging Statue. Summer nights, I would lie in the grass and see thousands of stars.. along with lightning bugs. Owls in nearby trees. A wolf's howl in the distance.
hm i think ive told you a thousand times. But, going to grandma's home, watching her favorite movies with me before going to bed. Or, her putting my hair up in her rollers to make it really curly and watch some shows before going to bed. I miss her a lot. Sigh
My fondest childhood memories are the vacations my family took the first two weeks of July to Wells, NY. We went with my aunts, uncles, and cousins and met wonderful people including my first love.
Sweet.
