Ever been to the Dr.? Ever flown in a plane? Ever eaten cereal? Ever gone anywhere without a team of bodyguards? Do you drive? Do you have a job? Are you married? Do you have the ability to reason?

Faith is not without reason. Faith is not above reason, or contrary to reason. In fact faith is demanded by reason. Everyone starts from faith, but not all admit it. Professed unbelievers say that they use reason as their starting point and not faith. We must ask though, what is their reason for trusting reason? The thing is, they don't have a reason for trusting reason, they have a 'blind faith' in reason.

    Take care

    That doesn't sound like "NEVER"!

err...yus? I mean you can think you're sure, so i guess that's enough. Yeah. Never was the wrong word. That you can't prove, then.

Thats not the problem. The problem lies in your self defeating statement. What I mean is this.

"UNTIL IT NO LONGER MATTERS". So, we agree then! There is something that matters! The thing about that which matters is that if it matters... it always matters. Your next statement verifies it!

"WHEN YOU'RE DEAD AND ACTUALLY THERE" - As you stated, Upon death, we arrive somewhere. To be "ACTUALLY THERE" wouldn't be possible if "THERE" did not exist, right?

In life there are things that matter. Upon death we arrive at a place ("THERE") where all that mattered is judged and determines our eternal destiny...
--- though it "NO LONGER MATTERS"

See the problem! Your eternity depends on that which does matter in life! Therefore what matters in life, matters eternally!

    lord, a philosopher...
I'm sorry, but everything i say is self defeating, including this...
Hmm, yes there is something that matters, and so never IS right, since there is no "there" in death. right? Right..so faith is believeing in something that will never be proven right...to where you can't ever say "i told you so"...right?

    Or more mistakes?
  • CwrazyL... CwrazyL... 2012/08/02 00:32:00

OH!. wait...hmm. It was a figurative "there". and nope...no juged. It's nothingness, in my opinion...but i have no faith :P ooh. I do get ur argument..well then nothing matters in life >.>

So ... because YOU decide to have no faith, nothing matters? Is it possible then for those who do have faith, that something does in fact matter?
  • CwrazyL... closinyou 2012/08/02 21:57:40
    CwrazyLwina
Nope, to me. In my bubble, where there is no faith coming from ME, nothing matters...to others things matters, whether they have faith or not is a different matter. Its possible for anyone to have things that matter to THEM, and i don't think their faith or lack of affects that...

Exactly, yeah. I don't believe in a definite wrong or right, or a search for "happiness" being the ultimate goal in life. As not everyone seeks..happiness. Now im not sure that made much sense...

"I don't believe in a definite wrong or right" - okay, then is your statement definitely wrong or is it definitely right?
Truth is absolute. Truth does not differ. If it did, it would be called opinion.

I respect your willingness to admit the seeing the error in this way of thinking. Don't stop thinking it all through. It will be an eye opening and life changing event when you eliminate all of the societal influence and lies and arrive at the truth. The absolute, undeniable and personally verifiable TRUTH! Find it and I can guarantee a happiness and fulfillment unlike anything you know!
