Yes were all guilty of not completing an assignment at least once in our lives but sometimes a well planned excuse can save you from an almost guaranteed fail. Whether your dog ate your homework or you were sick with stomach flu, it may seem ludicrous but it works. What makes a homework excuse even better is the Accompaniment of a false written note from a doctor or parent. What is your best homework excuse for nights when there are just better things to do?

look at the teacher straight in the eyes... then look at an imaginary point beyond the blackboard... then start faking a twitch of your eye... then look at the teacher and say: "I... don't... DO.... homework..." in a ghost-like voice.

I told my teacher that I'd already given it to him, kept asking him why I didn't have my mark yet, then he thought he lost it and gave me an 85; better than half the class XD

I had a party and the pizza guy was taking forever to get to my place so my friend's thought it looked tasty and ate it.
Sarcasm always works, well it does for me.
They just shake their head and tell me to sit back down.

just say umm i think i left it in my locker, then they usually say fine go and get it. then when u go back emptyhanded they say well heres another try and get it done today or tomorrow for half credit.
it usually only works if ur a good student who does there hw minus a few "hard problems"

Im a bit of a drama queen at times, so I just say something along the lines of:
'My brother (or sister, or father, etc.) fell deathly ill and I had to drive him to the hospital, and i was so worried about him that i completely forgot to do it.'

Fabricate some tears though. It won't work without the tears.

if I dnt do my homework I tell the teacher I accidently left it at home and I will have it for her the next day. That usually works for me.

I teach an ASL class in the summertime. The best excuse I ever got, was "My bro. hit me in the eye (and boy was it black) and I couldn't focus enough to see the fingerspelling font to solve the puzzle." Considering the fact that the kid coulda cheated off anyone in an earlier class, I accepted that.
