violence is the worst, but young children shouldn't be exposed to any of that. Still, while sex may not be age appropriate, it is generally peaceful:) When Drugs and alcohol are depicted in movies if you watch with your older child it gives an opportunity to discuss the topic. Swearing is not going to scar anyone for life whatever your feelings about it are. Children imitate the language of their peers not the language of movies. Be concerned about what your child's friends are watching.

With proper parenting, none of the above.

Children are blank slates that are to be taught...and not just by the schools, if you are going to crank out a litter you should take responsibility for your offspring.

First of all parents should determine what movies children will see. Then if they allow a movie to be seen they should be prepared to teach the rights and wrongs of what they see.

"All my life" is the time period from me being 0 years of age to the present time.

So, when I was young would be included in all my life.

    ...I'll make it simple.

You said: "if you see it on tv alot when your young you highly likely to do when your older"

In response, I said "Except, I've watched TV pretty much all my life, and I've never replicated ANY of the stuff they do."

You responded, "no i mean like when your young dumbass."

"all my life" "when your young"

See what I mean? When I was young is a part of my entire life. I'll even include a graph:

responded young dumbass life young young life ill include graph

Fair enough, you didn't say it exactly like that.

But, you did deny that my youth was a part of my entire life. Allow me to quote you:

Me: "I've watched TV pretty much all my life"

You [In response]: "no i mean like when your young dumbass"

Therefore, you were stating that my youth was not a part of my life.

parents have to tell their children about drugs and sex because if you believe it or not those things are part of the world we live in. and the next question is are the children 3 or 12 that´s a big difference.

It is all overdone. There is no need for all the profanity, children really shouldn't be made to be voyeurs to sex. (Actually none of us should). If there were as much violence in real life as there is in the movies, we would all have to carry a gun and live in fear. To glorify drug and alcohol use only makes people want to use it.
If you watch old movies you will see that there is sex, but it is only in insinuation and off camera. Children may not even know it. Drug use in older movies is always evil and never put in a "playful light". There was very little fantastic violence. There was violence but it was never graphic. And rarely, rarely was profanity used. But that was back in the day when film makers were responsible human beings.

Well, I change it quite often.......but I am a very sexual person, I just get uncomfortable watching nudity or sex with my kids in the room..........if they watch a rated R movie....I usually don't watch it with them........I let my husband decide what is okay for them to watch...........I guess I just don't want my boys to grow up......

I think most parents are happy to see the kids grow to an age when they can bathe themselves, decide what to wear for themselves and can make a sandwich for themselves when they need to.... and then want them to stop growing at that point.

When we were growing up it took forever for us to get 'old enough' for anything...

When the kids grow they do it sooooo fast.

I'd say no kid should see any of that. There are times where kids get exposed to it at sometime, but if handled right I don't think it could have that bad of an affect. But I mean there are tons of little kids at my school who cuss worse than I have ever heard anyone. Like a 5 yr old boy, Brady, was saying S*** over and over because someone was tickling him. Or my friends 7 yr old brother repeating cuss words he saw off of That 70s Show. Or how another friends 6 yr old sister asked him if he had a condom when she saw him about to go over to his girlfriends house and her mom was shocked because she had no idea how she had learned that. I find it sad really. I think showing any of them this stuff shows them, in a way, that the actions shown are ok. Just as if they learned from their parents by seeing them cuss, do drugs, or see violence constantly. If they are shown this stuff enough, they will be eventually be influenced by it, especially when they are not corrected when their actions are unacceptable.
