We all have a way to communicate with one another. Whether it's through the internet, or in person, on the phone-whatever. What I want to know is:
-What is the worst thing that you could say to someone?
-What is the worst thing that has been said to you?

My father was living with me at the time, about 2 years befor he died. He was a very vindictive and angry man.

We was discussing my mother when my sister in law said at least he got 3 great kids who loved him. That was his reply.

It is something I will never forget.

That had to be terrible. I'm so sorry. Our father's words really stick with us whether we deserve them or not. And you certainly didn't.

I know. I invited him into my house to live with me when he was very ill. I had hoped it was an opportunity for us to be together and closer befor his death. It turned out very badly. I have a much better understanding of why my parent divorced and why my mother left him. It was not physical abuse, it was that attitude that is very hurtful and biting.

"FIX BAYONETS!" would be pretty horrifying to hear.

Worst I've heard was probably a few calm sentences from the brother of a girl whose heart I broke. He basically told me what I'd done, but from her perspective. They were very nice people. I felt so strongly like I wanted to be someone else at that point that I resolved to take responsibility for the feelings others entrust to me from then on.

Too late to do her any good, of course. :O(

The worst thing that you could say to someone: Anything that's bigoted or insulting to the person's social status.
The worst thing that has been said to me: I'm torn between, "Why the hell are you so pale?" and, "It's because you're poor."
