Signing up for insurance can be a pain the neck, but without it you could end up footing a bill you can't afford. Health insurance has taken a prominent spot in politics lately as the government attempts to get basic coverage for more people, but good coverage will never be completely free, and selecting a plan that's understandable and affordable can still be a chore. Let us know your thoughts on insurance with this six-question Quick Poll. We'd love to hear from you!

I can think of several specialties within the medical field alone that doesn't require 2 hands. A radiologist doesnt need ANY hands to look at, read and dictate an x-ray, MRI or CT-scan. Just eyes and a voice box. I have known dermatologists, oncologist and even and X-ray technician that were each missing a hand. They did their jobs just fine. But to work in surgery, it takes 2 hands with 10 fingers... BTW.. There are many types of nurses, my specialty is surgical trauma. Not a floor nurse or a OPSU nurse or even a nurse in a doctors office. Now you have bored me, good night..

Wow, now radiologists don't even need ANY hands?! I bet they would disagree. Now listen, your ignorance is making other nurses look bad. I think you should change your name to "onedumbassnurse"....at least then no one would be surprised when you explain how ultra-sound technicians can do their job "just fine" using only their teeth.

For anyone else that reads this, I happen to think Radiologists do some the most important diagnostic work in the medical field. We rely on them heavily in order to diagnose and fix injuries everyday. I have openly wept for patients whose hands/arms I have had to amputate due to injury because of how devastating and life altering it is. this person thinks I'm arrogant and that I think I'm more important than anyone else, everyone that knows me (unlike this person) will tell you otherwise. Just because I'm proud of what I do doesn't make me arrogant, it just means I'm passionate about my job. I have many limitations and face them often. I know for a fact I could NEVER work on the floor as a nurse, it takes a special person better than myself to do such a thankless job.

My 16 years in the Army and having survived a helicopter crash humbled me beyond belief. I spent 2 years recovering from my injuries. Being a patient sucks, I keep that in mind everyday when caring for my patients. I am forever indebted to the medical professionals that helped me heal, I love them and will never be able to repay them for their help.

My husband Is the hero in my family, not me. Just the other day he caught and arrested a bank robber. I'm so proud of him!!!!! I will have the opportunit...

I will have the opportunity to place a commendation pin on his collar next week in a ceremony and I'm proud to do it. I just hope I can hold back the tears. Great job baby!!!! I'm extremely proud to be married to a police officer, even though his job horrifies me on a daily basis and I pray for his safe return every night.

For the record, this poster called me names in the previous posts. How sad that she must fall to such a levels. She says I'm arrogant and a know it all, seems she must be just like me. *shrugging my shoulders* life goes on..

Here in Australia we have the Medicare system which means that private health insurance is not necessary. I am a stay at home Mum & have no income so I do not insure my life. I do however make sure my husband has life insurance, income protection insurance & disability insurance as without his income my children & I would not be able to remain in our home.

We also have home & contents insurance, car insurance (both to insure our car against damage as well as insuring other people against damage we may cause in a traffic accident), public liability insurance too.
